Hello, I am a third year AUT student studying teaching. I also was a teacher aide for a year and a half at St Thomas’ but unfortunately got made redundant because of covid. I am patient, caring and enthusiastic. I am in sport teams and love doing different activities even if it’s going for a walk to the playground/beach. I also love movies and puzzles. I am a great problem-solver and take initiative when in certain situations. Being a teacher aide, I have learnt a lot and been on different courses about special needs. At the moment I have an after school job which I love but I would love to babysit for you during the weekend or evenings of the weekdays :) I could also possibly help with morning drop offs. I have my full license and my own car.
I have been on multiple courses about learning disabilities and special needs for my job, teacher aiding. I want to be able to do the best for my students.
I have been babysitting since I was 15 for my neighbour’s which were two boys, 8 and 12. I continuously help my friends with babysitting when they need some time off. I also helped a family at the beginning of this year, that had a 5 month year old, 2 year old and 4 year old. I really enjoyed doing this weekly as it meant I was able to connect with the kids and have a relationship with them. It meant they were able to trust me. Unfortunately, I got very busy with University and work that I wasn’t able to help but now my friend is babysitting for them.
I tutored maths at the beginning of last year from year 2-13. I am also in my second year of studying to be a teacher.
