Hello lovely families 😁 I'm a qualified ECE teacher, who has grown up being the one always looking after the children at family functions! I have a younger brother with Down Syndrome whose taught me the ultimate lesson in patience and how communication doesn't always have to be with words. I've worked in many different settings with so many ages and abilities. I'm currently nannying for a family of 4 (M5, F2 and Twins M&F 6 weeks) and looking to expand my work by assisting families with evening and weekend babysitting and potentially tutoring. Unfortunately i am not in the position to take on weekday work at this stage. I'm into crafting, cooking and baking and have an extensive movie and music knowledge ( my speciality is disney ). If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask 😁
My brother is 25 and Down Syndrome. Placement at Special Ed School during my ECE training. Two years of TA work at Wairau Valley Special School. 3 Years of After School Repite Care for two girls ( 1 austism 1 Global Developmental Delay ) 4 Years of facilitating a Special Needs Youth Group ( PHAB)
Looking after children since 14, I started studying my Btec in Early Childhood development in the UK at 17 ( my BTEC is not recognised here in NZ but is equivalent to a Bachelor as the rules are different in both countries ) I've worked with a range of ages and abilities, i don't really have a preferred age. I think they all have their own challenges and fun parts.
I have no tutoring experience, i appreciate this may not be ideal but am willing to expand my skillset.
