Hey there, to all the lovely families. I’m Eve, and I look forward to hopefully caring for your wee treasures. Im from Wanaka originally, where I grew up and did most of my babysitting and nannying. I have moved up to Auckland now and currently I’m flatting in Wai O Taki Bay. I’m looking to continue nannying and to be able to hang out with my favourite kind of people in the world, children! Being able to make them feel safe, seen and freely express themselves is a great pleasure of mine. I am very organised and enjoy dabbling in cooking and baking. I’m a big fan of crafts, music and cracking a few jokes. I’m an easy going person who is open minded, responsible, understanding and gentle. I value implementing healthy and positive habits to those learning the ways of the world. I have a car available and i’m more than happy to look after any pets/ do over night stays. Im excited to meet you and your little ones.

Childcare Experience

My main nannying position is the one i’m about to explain. In this position I was caring for 3 children ages 1/2 Cooper, 3/4 Bailey and 5/6 Fletcher, I say two numbers for each as all three of them had their birthdays while i was there. The two youngest were girls and the eldest was a boy. The parents worked from home internationally. My most regular weeks looked like, Monday-Friday 12-8pm; when i would arrive at the house and Cooper would either need put to bed for their nap (90mins) or was already sleeping. The other two were at kindy and primary. During the time of her nap i would do my admin/ house jobs such as empty the dishwashers, clean up the dining table, put all food/ dirty dishes in their rightful spots, clean the main lounge and kids play room, sort out the children’s pyjamas and outfit for the next day (setting them on a chair that was for those things), fold/ hang washing, clean the two other kids rooms and put away their washing, change bed sheets (wash/ dry/ put back on) vacuum and the occasional mop, get wood in and start the fire and bake/ cook something for kids lunches or dinner. I had the duty to sometimes pick up all the kids from school (when it was the youngest i would come at 11:30am and get the car) I drove the family car. We would do activities such as, rock painting, baking, going to the park, getting a fluffy, going to the library, playing on the trampoline or with their toys, walks, scootering at the skate park, reading books and drawing. I would get them feed by 5/6 and showered/ bathed afterwards, then into bed at 7 for Cooper with milk, 7/7:15 for Bailey and read books for 30mins or so and then 7:30 for Fletcher who i would also read a few of his chapter books with him. I was super flexible in general to work along their international hours. I had flexibility to help on the weekends on occasion sometimes starting at 7am where i would just be with the youngest and take her to group activities in town.
