Hey there parents, I have just finished studying my level 5 Early Childhood Diploma at Vision College. I have grown up looking after children of all ages from 6 months up to 13 years of age. I have a lot of experience with younger children from having 5 week placements in ece centres as well. I am also the oldest out of 6 siblings. I have had my full license for over two years, I can babysit until late hours, and I have my own car. I also have been police vetted and have references
I have had experience with children that have high functioning autism. One of the children that I have looked after before is around 6 years old and I have had a lot of experience dealing with how to cope with the melt downs that he has and how to calm him down in a different way to other children. I have also learnt how an autistic child's brain works and how it is different to other children and how they think and react compared to other children.
I absolutely love looking after children and as a child I always wanted to have my own. I have grown up looking after my own siblings abd then went into school to get an early childhood qualification as soon as I could. My age preference are definitely children around the 18 month to 2 year old mark, but I still love and enjoy looking after children of all ages
