Have have done tutoring through my old high-school and normally focused on the maths and sciences. I have also helped out as a mentor at a after school programme where I would often help young children with the phoenix and math problems. I try and teach in the most relatable way and I believe I have unshakeable patience with kids, especially with learning.

I am passionate about educating children and youth, as well as learning from them. I can offer help to years 1-8 in English, reading, math, art and dance. I have had the privilege of being an assistant teacher at wakaaranga primary school and Owairoa. In 2018, I was a mentor for year 8 students at Finlayson park school through the Great Potentials Foundation.

I am a current university student at AUT doing a business degree minoring in business Law. Although I have not have previous tutoring experience I am confident with kids and and am a high achieving student. Having many tutors throughout school I understand the qualities of what makes a good tutor.

I have always been good with English and classical studies. I am able to each English, basic Maori and sign language. With general knowledge of math, science, social studies.

I’ve helped mentor/tutor pre-university and university students. I’ve also worked with some younger children, though not as much.

I currently work at Kip McGrath for the past 3 years. I work with the ages 5-13. I am currently in my final year studying to be a primary school teaching at university. Over the years of my study I have gained knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and understand where students should be based on there age. I have experienced being in a classroom of all different ages which has given me the practical experience and increased my confidence and ability to teach children with a range of different needs and learning styles.

I have a younger brother that I’ve helped out with english, comprehension and essay writing. I have plenty of experience as someone who is an avid essay writer and lover of literature.

At my school there is a tutoring programme and I have tutored 2 girls before and am currently tutoring now. I tutor during lunch and help her understand something that could be difficult
