Hey juggling parents & kiddos. I’m a double masters graduate, currently pursuing PhD in Biology at the University of Auckland. At the university, I have been teaching undergraduate biology lab courses stage 1 & 2 since 3 years. Previously, I have also done private home tutoring for both primary & secondary students and also taught NCEA level subjects. Most of my weekdays are me juggling with my lab work. I’m quite an energetic person who enjoys teaching. Of course, biology is my mainstream subject. But Im also good at other science subjects, Physics & Chemistry. I believe whichever stream or subject line one chooses, math is always part of it. Which tells Im comfortable teaching maths as well. In addition, I might pass on my enthusiasm for science while tutoring the kids. Being a PhD student, Im looking for some extra hours of income to support myself. I will be able to do couple of hours during weekends and one/two evenings in the weekdays. Also, I can babysit your kids when the parents need an evening away.
I have been working at the University of Auckland as Graduate teaching assistant for three years now teaching undergraduate biology lab courses (stage 1 & 2). I have also home tutored over the last 1 year secondary school kids, biology, math, physics, chemistry and have also helped with other subjects when required. Im passionate about teaching science (mainly biology) and also math. For university prep, im more comfortable with biology.
