Hi there! My name is Katie and I am the eldest of three kids in a hectic household. I have a current full drivers license and have spent the last seven months working as an Insurance Broker. I am very organised and thrive in a high pressure environment. I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was in secondary school - so I am compassionate and patient with children who have learning difficulties. I have been nannying and babysitting since I was fifteen years old, and have taught piano to young primary school students. I also volunteered at a primary school in a year 1-2 composite class for one term in 2018. Feel free to reach out - I would love to meet you and lend a helping hand!
I, myself have dyslexia - I understand how it feels to see the world differently and work at my own pace with reading and writing. I am a very patient young woman and feel I have a soft spot for children who feel that the world is working against them.
As I mentioned before, I am the eldest of three children and have been nannying/babysitting for nearly six-years. I volunteered at a primary school for one-term and have helped families with children from ages 2-14.
Hi there! My name is Katie and I am classically trained on the piano through ABRSM and have a good understanding of Grade 5/6 theory. I am currently tutoring Ukulele, Pinao, Vocals, and songwriting to students from the age of 6-12. I am a bubbly young woman and I'm a firm believer that children will succeed if they are passionate about the music they are learning/performing. Whether that is modern pop, classical, singer-songwriter, etc. I dabble with many genres and would love to share my love for music with your children. I am also an avid artist and love to paint and sketch. I create abstract lesson plans and get children thinking outside the box. Tapping into their imagination at a young age enables them to look beyond the surface and draw conclusions that expand their cognitive development.
