Kia Ora families! I’m Maria. I’m an English Teacher from Argentina. I came to NZ to visit my sister and nephew in March 2020 but my plans changed due to C-19. I have eight years of experience with pre-school, primary and secondary learners. I’m a Spanish native speaker so I could teach some Spanish while helping around the house. I have a driving license, own mobility and recently had my first aid certification. I’m available in the weekends for casual babysitting only, since I have a full-time job at an ECE centre in the week. It will be a pleasure to meet you all (022 031 6197 txt only please)
I have been teaching children raging from 3 to 15 years old for five years in different schools of Argentina. I have a teaching degree that allows me to work in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. I’ve always found working with children rewarding not only because it helped me cultivate patience and kindness but also because of their open attitude when learning new things. I’m working as a reliever at an ECE centre here in NZ in the morning.
I have worked as an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) Teacher since 2010. I’ve worked as a private teacher with non-Spanish-speaking children for two years in Buenos Aires city. During break times at school I was in charge of storytelling and caring for 60 children outdoors. I have worked tutoring children with extra English lessons after school hours for two years at all-boys and all-girls schools. Most of my experience is based in eight years of studying and working in different schools of Buenos Aires (city and outskirts). I graduated at UTN (Universidad Tecnologica Nacional), one of the most prestigious State-run Universities of Argentina and Latin America.
