Hey, I’m Helen. I have been looking after my 4 beautiful nieces for the last 8 years. Eldest is now 14 and the youngest is 8. You go out and I sub in, laundry, cooking, cleaning, what ever you need all included. I charge $20 per hour up to 4 children, and my rate is higher because I am the best. I have a natural report with children. I treat all children the same as I would my own nieces. I understand how busy modern family’s are with children of any age and I get immense satisfaction from knowing I have done my bit to help you get ahead for the week. After a certain amount of time getting to know your little ones I will also happily do over nights so you can get a break for weekends! I also have plenty of experience with dogs, cats, small animals and horses - that’s a story for when I meet you! I’m also a fully trained and qualified opera singer with qualifications in 5 other instruments and music theory! References are available upon request! I look forward to working with you to make your life easier! 😁

Skills and Qualificationvs

Childcare Experience

I love working with children, and helping facilitate busy family’s lives. I am experienced with ages from newborn to 14 - and can honestly say I enjoy each age. I help my sister out who is a busy single mum of 4 amazing little girls, so am used to working hard to make things work out, the kids are having fun and the house is running smoothly, eg dinners, cleaning, laundry. I’m a fully qualified trained opera singer, so also available for vocal lessons and music theory lessons. I love watching how young people grow and develop and helping them on the way at all ages and stages!

Tutoring Experience

I am a professional working opera singer, and trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Whilst I’m an operatic soprano is my voice type, most young people will not know what their voice type is - so I believe in a fundamental approach to to basic training encompassing all aspect of use of the voice, including speech. Younger students and beginners, will learn how to sing safely and sing things they enjoy and know. Accomplished singers preparing for exams or uni/college entry or auditions will have my full emotional and mental support in addition to, music selection and critique ensuring they are the most prepared they can be and everything is as should be. I succeed when they do, and they can be trying times in a young singers life, so it is important confidence is built at every step regardless of age and stage! I am personally very passionate about musical theatre and pop music as well as opera not to mention music in general. I am also able to tutor composition and music theory through to degree level, and also able to teach drama and musical theatre. I believe in working closely with students to help them realise their dreams. In my life some of the most significant people have been my singing teachers. And I believe it is my duty to pass down what has been give to me to the next generation. Please do get in touch if lessons are required. Or if you have been thinking about having lessons yourself!
